This section presents a selection of projects completed both in the Netherlands and abroad.
It highlights not only the design work but also the activities that brought ideas to life.
Each project includes a short story, detailing the unique circumstances that influenced its development.
My professional experience has predominantly revolved around planning residential or commercial facilities and public spaces within medium- to large-scale housing estates.
Additionally, I've been involved in research projects, often focusing on visions and transformations.
Having spent years in art academies as a student and now as a teacher, I have experienced the evolving dynamics of design education.
This chapter includes selected urban projects I created between 2014-2019, along with a section of light character stories on How To Study Design.

What adaptive architecture means
As the world becomes more complex, every meter matters.
My belief has always been that architects should emphasise flexibility, and responsiveness to changing conditions.
It’s a favourable situation when they can design interiors just as proficiently as they design building including the exteriors, and vice versa.
This principle extends to urban planning as well. While the complexity of design grows, certain fundamental principles remain unchanged.
Ultimately, it all boils down to the human scale and the interconnectedness of all elements.
