Apartment, Leidseplein, Amsterdam

The 2010-designed apartment in a Leidseplein tenement house boasts a new layout, maximizing space efficiency.

Noteworthy features include an extensive wardrobe in the bedroom, custom-made full-height doors that, in one case, seamlessly slide into the wall, and the use of recycled materials.

In the kitchen, concealed lighting hidden behind frosted glass, above and below cabinets, provides cosy illumination without being visible during the day.

Additionally, a practical bench doubles as a windowsill, offering a scenic view of the city centre canal and Leidseplein.

Importing elements from Poland, including the kitchen and new windows, was a prudent economic measure.
