Welcome to Amsterdam Noord and Museum of Human Rights
Reviving the idea of a Human Rights Museum originally proposed for the site of the former Amsterdam Noord guillotine, I opted for a different approach by envisioning an open structure integrated into public space rather than a traditional building.
Positioned as the gateway to the city's most burgeoning area, this structure serves not only as a symbolic and reflective landmark but also as a functional space accommodating various programs and functions. Designed to cater to the needs of people transitioning to different parts of the city, as well as serving as a space for nature and community engagement, this innovative gateway embodies inclusivity and connectivity while commemorating the importance of human rights.
